I am a researcher based in New York City. I work  with organizations that leverage social science to improve civic discourse and mitigate toxic political polarization both on and off line.

In my dissertation work, I used
experimental designs and agent based models to examine the dynamics of information polarization in social media. Currently I am the Director of Research and Evaluation at Civic Health Project, where I lead the incubation of projects to measure the impact of interventions and media on reducing - or increasing - toxic polarization. I also participate on the science board of ProsocialDesignNetwork. Previously I was the research manager at Citizens and Technology Lab, where I conducted field experiments in collaboration with online communities to test the effectiveness of prosocial interventions.

I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan, a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA from Harvard College.
